When speaking with clients its interesting that most business owners think that branding your business is simply revising your logo, changing your color scheme and dolling up your website. Branding is beyond slapping a fresh coat of paint on an old wall. Branding starts internally and extends externally. 1) Make sure you know what your brand is. Identify and determine what your business stands for. Your brand should be more than a logo.
2) Develop a sense of community. A successfully business is trusted by their customer and respected by other businesses. Attending a networking event is a great way to meet your community, scope out your competitors and get your name out there.
3) Emeril Lagasse once said “If you think big, then it’s going to be big”. Just because you’re a small business doesn’t mean you can’t operate like a large firm. You may not have all the resources but utilize what you do have. Keep in mind that thinking big is preparation for growth.
