One important factor to managing the time you have is to identify areas where you waste time. If you want to master your calendar and control your clock you have to find the unproductive things that “steal” your time away from you.  Often these things can sneak up on you.  Do you surf the net? Hold long personal conversations? Play Angry Birds?

To spot these sneaky time wasters, you can start your own activity tracker to get an accurate picture on how you spend your time and what you can eliminate to make your day more productive.

To create a simple activity tracker, use a calendar, planner, phone or whatever you keep your schedule in to record the activity and the time of everything you do for a week. Keep it SIMPLE. You don’t need details here, simply what you did (the activity) and for how long (the time).
